| | It was our last Calligraphy Workshop this year, and we had 7 participants to demonstrate what they've learned so far. And, I am very proud to say I could see improvement in every one's writing. I am certainly not trying to prove the teacher was good. Really. Although some definitely reminded me of those kids in the 2nd grade (who? who?), I truly enjoyed teaching those characteristic students who'd shared their main goal - learning something. Whoever could maintain focusing on practicing thru the noisy class without getting mad or screaming, congratulations! You have achieved another goal - self control. That means you don't need to find a quiet place to meditate but you can find a special space in your soul to meditate yourself. I'm hoping all had enjoyed the workshop and we could continue next year to achieve more. | | 今年最後の習字ﾜｰｸｼｮｯﾌﾟでは7名が参加して今までの成果を見ました。先生が良かったのだと言いたいところですが、事実皆さん全員が進歩されたと誇りを持って言えました。中には間違いなく小学校2年生の頃から授業中の態度が変わっていないだろうなと思われる生徒さんもいましたが(笑)、それも大変楽しいひと時でした。それぞれ個性のある、しかし｢何かを学ぼう｣という共通の目的を持っていらっしゃる皆さんのｲﾝｽﾄﾗｸﾀｰが出来て本当に光栄です。その中でもｺﾞﾁｬｺﾞﾁｬ・ｶﾞﾔｶﾞﾔと回りがうるさい中、じいっと集中してもくもくと練習に励まれた方、自制心と集中力を持っていらっしゃるという証拠です。ご立派です！Meditationというのは静かな場所をわざわざ選ばなくても自分の精神の中にその部分を見つけることが出来るということではないかと思います。皆さんにﾜｰｸｼｮｯﾌﾟを楽しんで頂けたことを心から望みます。ぜひ来年も続けていけることを祈ります。 | |
